This 6 Days Masai Mara and Gorilla trekking Safari is a perfect wildlife and gorilla trekking Safari. The African holiday takes you to Masai Mara National Reserve, Africa’s greatest wildlife Reserve  for an exclusive game viewing experience. This trip also takes you gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, The thick forest is home to almost half of the world’s remaining population of mountain gorillas.

Itinerary

This 6-Day Masai Mara and Gorilla safari starts from Nairobi, Kenya's capital city. Our professional guide will pick you up at 7:00 H from your accommodation to transfer to your Masai Mara National Reserve. Alternatively, depending on your travel plan, pick up can be from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport however you will have to book a flight arriving in Nairobi early morning hours. Masai Mara National Reserve is a 6 hours drive by road from Nairobi. You will be briefed first upon your 6 Day Safari to Africa’s greatest wildlife Reserve before you embark on the journey. Enjoy a drive through scenic views of the Nairobi suburbs, beautiful savannah grasslands, and the plains of the Rift Valley. You will stop at the great rift valley viewpoint for photography shortly after which you will continue the journey to the park. Upon your arrival at the Park, you will check-in accommodation just in time for lunch. After the refreshment, you will then depart for an evening game drive, expect to see various wildlife species to include: giant elephants, hippopotamus, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes and so many more.

The next 6 to 10 hours are spent game viewing in Kenya’s leading Masai Mara National Reserve. You will embark on two game drives in the Mara: morning game drive and the afternoon game drive with organized bush breakfast in search of the big five and other wildlife species to include: Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, Wildebeest, buffaloes, zebras, jackals, spotted hyenas, topi, impala, Hartebeests, nat eared foxes, the crocodiles and hippopotamus of the Mara and Talek Rivers.
Should your planned time to visit be in the months (July-Sept), you should brace yourselves to witness the thrilling Great wildebeest Migration as it happens in the Mara.
This natural movement of over 4 million grazers from Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to Masai Mara National Reserve is the sole reason why many visitors opt to come to Masai Mara National Reserve at this time of the year.

• There is an optional cultural visit to the Masaai tribe community within the park; this visit grants you a chance to learn about the Masaai culture, customs, ways of living and their exercising cultural dance.

After the amazing full-day game viewing experience, We transfer back to lodge/Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Enjoy your last cup of coffee in Masai Mara early morning before you check out lodge to embark on an enroute game drive as you continue your journey to Nairobi. Upon your arrival to the city, you will have your lunch shortly after which you will transfer to the airport for a flight to Entebbe. A guide from our team will warmly welcome you to Uganda upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport then transfer you to accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Waking up early to a warming breakfast, you will be picked by our expert guide to transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park. The 6 hours drive takes you through Kampala city suburbs with a stop over at the Equator point shortly after which you continue to journey through magnificent views of terraced hills blended with gently sloping valleys of western Uganda. You will arrive in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park late afternoon to check in accommodation for dinner and over night stay.

This is the day with major highlight of your 6 days Masai Mara and Gorilla Trekking Safari. Upon waking up early to a warming breakfast, you will be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Park head quarters for your pre-trek briefing. You will be grouped in groups of 8 people then embark on a trek in search of the mountain gorillas of Africa. Endeavor to show up physically fit for this thrilling adventure to the thick jungle of Bwindi.

Upon finding the mountain gorilla, you will be allowed upto an hour with the gentle lads. However some visitors always want more time with the gorillas so, we can prepare an extended visit to the mountain gorillas called gorilla habituation. The packages offer visitors a maximum of 5 hours with the gorillas.

After the magical experience, you will return to the accommodation to check out and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi on a dug-out canoe sailing experience which takes us to dock at our booked accommodation overlooking Lake Bunyonyi.

After a beautiful night at the shores of Lake Bunyonyi, you embark on the road drive back to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport for a departure flight. You will have lunch en route and can purchase any craft materials at several souvenir shops along the way to always remind you of your Bwindi gorilla trekking safari. Our guide will drop you off at your booked hotel in Entebbe or airport for your departure flight
