The 8 days Masai Mara and Uganda Gorilla trekking Safari holiday is an overland tour which takes you to Uganda’s Mountain Gorillas and Kenya’s leading National Park, Masai Mara  by road. The adventure tour begins with game viewing experience in one of the leading National parks within the world, Masai Mara Game Reserve. The open fields of Masai Mara have abundant wildlife, counting the Huge Five of Africa. Masai Mara National Reserve is best known for the Wildebeest Migration, lovely scenes and solid enormous cat populaces.

Leaving Kenya, we travel into Uganda with our first destination, Jinja, also known as East Africas Adventure City where we undertake white water rafting. Further exploration in Uganda takes us trekking for African Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Experiencing these marvelous primates is certainly a once in a lifetime encounter, never to be forgotten! We also visit The Source of River Nile, go white water rafting and enjoy a relaxation along the shoreline of beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake in Africa, domestic to various birds and plants, before wrapping up our adventure in Kampala.

Itinerary

This 8 Day safari starts from Nairobi, Kenya’s capital city. Our professional guide will pick you up at 7:00 H from your accommodation to transfer to your Masai Mara National Reserve. Alternatively, depending on your travel plan, pick up can be from Jomo Kenyatta Internation Airport however you will have to book a flight arriving in Nairobi early morning hours.

Masai Mara National Reserve is a 6 hours drive by road from Nairobi. You will be briefed first upon your 8 Day guided Safari to Africa’s greatest wildlife Reserve before you embark on the journey. Enjoy a drive through scenic views of the Nairobi suburbs, beautiful savannah grasslands, and the plains of the Rift Valley. We stop at the great rift valley viewpoint for photography shortly after which you will continue the journey to the park. Upon your arrival at the Park, we check-in accommodation just in time for lunch. After the refreshment, you will then depart for an evening game drive, expect to see various wildlife species including: giant elephants, hippopotamus, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes and so many more.

The next 6 to 10 hours are spent game viewing in Kenya’s leading Masai Mara National Reserve. You will embark on two game drives in the Mara: morning game drive and the afternoon game drive with organized bush breakfast in search of the big five and other wildlife species to include: Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, Wildebeest, buffaloes, zebras, jackals, spotted hyenas, topi, impala, Hartebeests, nat eared foxes, the crocodiles and hippopotamus of the Mara and Talek Rivers.
Should your planned time to visit be in the months (July-Sept), you should brace yourselves to witness the thrilling Great wildebeest Migration as it happens in the Mara.
This natural movement of over 4 million grazers from Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to Masai Mara National Reserve is the sole reason why many visitors opt to come to Masai Mara National Reserve at this time of the year.

After the amazing full-day game viewing experience, We transfer back to lodge/Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Within the early morning, we take off the Masai Mara Game Reserve, having experienced unimaginable wildlife viewing. From The Mara, we drive through the rolling tea manors of Kericho, west of the Incredible Rift Valley. Taking off the green slopes of the highlands we plunge down to the Rift Valley Level. At that point, we travel to one of Kenya's fastest-growing towns - Eldoret, found south of the Cherangani Slopes in western Kenya. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel in Eldoret

Crossing the western border of Kenya in the morning; we travel into the Pearl of Africa, Uganda today. We remain within Jinja. East Africa's Adventure city, for our first night in Uganda. We visit the source of The River Nile on a sunset cruise, this is the birthplace of the mighty Nile river, here the water spills out of Lake Victoria on its journey to the Mediterranean flowing fast from the get-go. It's estimated no more than 5% of water here will end up in Egypt. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel in Jinja.

Early morning after our breakfast, we head out for white water rafting along the rapids of the Great River Nile. Whitewater rafting in Jinja takes you in the middle of the river Nile while passing through chaotic and turbulent rapids. The Nile rapids in Jinja are graded 4 and 5 and offer the best whitewater rafting experiences in Africa. After the thrilling experience, we visit Itanda Falls for a sightseeing experience that embark on a 3 hours drive to Kampala with an enroute stop at Ssezibwa Falls.

Waking up early to a warming breakfast, we embark on a road drive to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park. The 8 hours drive takes you through Kampala city suburbs with a stop over at the Equator point shortly after which you continue to journey through magnificent views of terraced hills blended with gently sloping valleys of western Uganda. You will arrive in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park late afternoon to check in accommodation for dinner and over night stay.

We pack a picnic lunch and exchange to a ranger’s station, serving as the beginning point for our experience. The officers will lead you into the thick rainforest in look of a family of gorillas. Gorilla trekking can take anything from 45 minutes to 8 hours depending on how simple the gorillas are to find.
