6 Days Migration and Lake Naivasha Adventure Safari

Overview

This 6 Day Migration Safari takes you to Mount Longonot for a day hike to the rim of the crater ontop of Mount Longonot. Enjoy further adventure to Lake Naivasha National Park with a boat cruise to Crescent Island and a half day cycling adventure in Hells Gate National Park.

The Highlight of this tour is  Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s most famous parks. The wildlife viewing in the park is superb throughout the year. The grassy plains and regular rainfall supports a huge population of herbivores, in turn attracting many predators. All three big cats are relatively easy to see. The yearly wildebeest migration coming through the park is one of the world’s most amazing wildlife spectacles where 2.5 million wildebeest, zebra and gazelles follow the rains in search of new grass. They make their way from the Serengeti in Tanzania to the Masai Mara somewhere around July and August, and usually arrive in September. The crossing of the Mara River along the way is one of the highlights of this spectacular event. On our safari, We shall have two full days catch the last events of the Migration as we track the herds while they slowly head back into Tanzania around October.

Lake Naivasha is one of the primary drinking holes for buffalos, zebras, elands, impalas, waterbucks and other grazers, as well as a favorite place for hippos to cool themselves during the day. We plan a boating excursion around the lake and to beautiful Crescent Island and an adventure to Hell’s Gate National Park for a Cycling safari through the park.
